JULY EVENTS! 18th: Dodger Stadium, 24th: Summer Sanctuary

Such an exciting summer so far! World cup, bunch of awesome events, and now I get to share two upcoming GREAT events you should attend!

July 18th, Dodger Stadium- LA Flea Market
First one is on Sunday, July 18th at the Dodger Stadium Parking Lot in Elysian Park. Rick Dees (the famous VJ) and the Salvation Army joined forces to create the first of many more huge events also known as the Hollywood Yard Sale in Dodgertown! Join THOUSANDS of people, including celebrities, in checking out over 400 booths of wonderful items. New, used, antiques, home furnishings, plants, jewelry and accessories (such as Herrdoghouse and Dodies Corner), music...ETC!
According to the website, there will be celebrity auctions, other celebrities selling their own goods and products, and others just hanging out to sign autographs. This is a promising event and I am ecstatic to be a part of it!

Check out the link for more info:

So... the next major event I realllllly would love to see all of you at is in Brentwood on Saturday, July 24th.

Summer Sanctuary is a pool party, bbq/bar, bikini fashion show, pop up boutiques (yours truly included) at the Angeleno Hotel in Brentwood on Saturday, July 24th. The event is an actual pool party, so bring your bathing suit attire if you feel bold enough to jump in and swim with some hotties. Ladies, if you need to purchase a new bikini, I completely recommend Lolli Beach Candy
This event will be raising proceeds for a 3 year old boy, Tai Sivrican, who is suffering from a severe condition- Dystonia due to a near-drowning accident earlier this year. Part of the ticket sales for the event will be going towards Tai's treatments. At the event you will find a silent auction table set up with really cool items you can bid on as well as art being sold, with proceeds from that being donated to Tai's treatment as well.

For more information about Tai's story, you can click HERE

So.... here is the basic info:
WHEN: Saturday, July 24th 11AM- 5PM

WHERE: 170 N. Church Lane, Brentwood CA 90049.  It is the tall, round building right off of the 405, Sunset exit.

If you need anymore information about it, please e-mail me directly at
If you cannot attend and would still like to donate some money to the cause, please e-mail me and I can direct you to the appropriate person to talk to!

The contest, which started in May, featured 1,000 different bands, and of all of those, Gorgeous has made it to the top and now need your votes for one last week!
They have worked so so hard for this and continue to work hard to reach their dreams, so if you get a chance to check them out and vote, please do so and share with others!
The video you will see in the link was put together in a matter of days with little budget, and I have to say it is truly worth watching!
If the band wins this, they get to play in San Diegos Comic-Con and get their video featured on the DVD of the movie. Support this awesome LA based band!!!

thanks again to each one of you!!

I really do hope to get to see many of you at the upcoming events! Please do try and make it out to Summer Sanctuary!

many XOXOXOX to all of you!!

Downtown Artwalk at The Annex LA!

Hiii there!

It's been such an eventful week since I last wrote an entry! Although most of the time I spent it sick, which is never fun, we continued working hard creating new accessories in preparation for our next event, the Downtown Artwalk on Thursday, July 8th at the Annex LA
It is our third month in a row at this event (our second with the annex LA- lobby pic on the left) and we really enjoy it! Every month there are new, fun and creative artists that bring out thousands of people to the streets. You can buy amazing works of art and items like new/vintage clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc at amazing prices, and at the same time you will find new musical talents, foods, designers that you won't come across regularly. Whatever it is that interests you, there is bound to be something for you!

We at Herrdoghouse & Dodies Corner have new pieces that we are hoping you guys love! Because this is a special monthly event, we will have the items at low and awesome prices for you!

Check out some of the newbies to the collections:

Come out to the Artwalk and check out MANY MANY more items!

The physical address is :

The competition is based around the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and they would get some pretty awesome opportunities if they win! They have worked really really hard and have made it to the TOP 4 so far out of hundreds of bands that signed up! Please take a minute to vote for them, if possible, daily! Bikini Rock ROCKED!!! Gorgeous Got a Gun NEEDS YOUR VOTES!!! Check out the links!!

So seriously, if you missed out on this one, you REALLY missed out on an AMAZING event put together by the geniuses behind Graffiti Beach and Swoop Magazine!
Before I go on, big shout out and uber huge thanks to the stylist, Jana Arbaszewski of Spyder Surf for doing a phenomenal job at coordinating the beautiful models!

So the evening kicked off with a special performance by Kevin Sousa. If you get a chance to check him out, please do so!

Then the night moved on to an impressive and rocking performance by Gorgeous Got a Gun! As soon as they got up on stage, the crowd gathered around and got into their performance!! They really amp'd up the vibe in the theatre and got everyone into their beats! Their music is catchy but not cheesy and aside from the obvious good looks, this band has some serious skills, starting off with the vocals by Veronica Torres! I cannot wait to see these guys live again! Wanna read more about their performance from that night? Check out the review by Christy Buena from Disarray Magazine HERE!
I can totally go on and on about the performances but I won't because there is a touch more of Gorgeous Got a Gun ahead...

So now... the FASHION!!
Herrdoghouse Accessories (which is a combination of the hair accessories of partner site, Dodies Corner and the handmade jewelry by Herrdoghouse Boutique) was SUPER ecstatic to share the runway with the beautiful stylish vibrant bikinis of Lolli Beach Candy. These poppin and creative little bikinis really stood out beautifully as the gorgeous models made their way down the runway. Stylist and genius, Jana of Spyder Surf, cleverly turned the lariat necklaces and some of the eyeglass swarovski beaded necklaces into wrapped bracelets that gave the RIGHT touch to these pieces. I cannot describe how many different uses there are for these detailed beaded pieces, but can I tell you- THERE ARE MANY!!! Bikini Rock just exemplified one of those beautiful ways! Some of the pieces that were layered and worn that night were:

Some of the hair accessories that were featured on the runway were from the silk and feathery goods:

ALSOOOO...I totally recommend you to check out DISARRAY MAGAZINE and read up on their Bikini Rock review HERE

FINNNALLLY this jaw dropping event finished off with a surprise guest performance by Lil Jon in the weee hours of the morning. Bikini Rock became an official after party for EDC and was led by DJ CHUCKIE and AFROJACK! Needless to say this was an event that went on ALLLLL NIGHT but felt like you didnt want it to end!!! Hopefully you guys will all be in touch with both Disarray Magazine and Graffiti Beach for future rockstar style events and we get to meet you there!
If you guys want to know more about future events (MANY MORE GOODIES ON THEIR WAY), click HERE to become a fan of Graffiti Beach on Facebook and keep up with the events!!

If you guys have heard of the new Michael Cera movie coming out soon, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, then you should get in on this contest and support a dream for Gorgeous Got a Gun!!! They are in the TOP 8 of a battle to make it BIG!
All you need to do?

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported and continue to show your support to Herrdoghouse accessories. If you get a chance to "suggest the page" to all your friends, PLEASE PLEASE do so! We are working VERY HARD, around the clock at Herrdoghouse Accessories so that we can continue providing unique and specially made items to you!!
